Refund Application No [protected] has been made by GOIBIBO, thru which we had done my booking. This Refund application was made in Feb 2021.

Payment is still not done for cancellation done in March 2020.

Details of My Correspondence with GOIBIBO is as below:

1. I Nivedita Rajendra Sukthankar booked a round trip ticket of Air India from Mumbai to Newark and return, thru GOIBIBO in June 2019.

Booking ID: TUANP1C90 PNR: JC1Y4

E Tkt No:[protected]

AI 191 from Mumbai to Newark on 15.11.2019- I travelled on this date.
AI 144 from Newark to Mumbai on 5.05.2020* This was pending.

2. *On 9.03.2020 I rescheduled my return journey thru GOIBIBO, by paying additional money for travel on 4.04.2020 thru AI 144, with following details.

PNR: JC1Y4 E Tkt No :[protected],[protected]

AI 144 from Newark to Mumbai for 04.04.2020 This ticket was not used.

3. Due to covid situation i had to prepone above flight on 04.04.2020 to 17.03.2020. but when i contacted GOIBIBO on 16.03.2020. They replied that since you have booked preferred seat thru air lines, we are unable to do it. Hence I had to buy New Ticket thru GOIBIBO for my return journey on 17.03.2020 fro Newark to Mumbai, . I bought it again .

Subsequently due to covid all flights were cancelled. I tried to contact GOIBIBO thru their Toll free numbers, which were initially non responsive till may end.

Later when i tried on several ocassions, to contact goibibo thru toll free number, which went futile.

I also made several emails on their [protected], without any result.
Due to covid situation also contacting airline may not be useful.

I request you guide me to resole my refund issue from GOIBIBO or Airline. I am attaching my original ticket, with my rescheduled ticket for return journey(which was not used.
Since i did not got any response, i had complained to National consumer Helpline with complaint No 2501191 dt 13.01.2021.
Hoping for your favourable reply. I am attaching all tickets for your reference.

Journey completed 15.11.2019 from MUM to EWR
Return on 17.03.2020 AI144 from EWR to Mum. Tkt of return journey of original tkt unutilised.

Their Reply after severe follow up is as below:

Dear Nivedita,

We have understood your concern well, as checked status of ticket number[protected] we found that we have already done everything in our capacity and applied for your refund with airline against refund application(RA) number “[protected]” but refund is yet to receive.

Airline generally takes 60-90 working days to approve RA however due to high number of refund and rescheduling request with airline they may take more time than expected but there is no need to follow up for refund as we will automatically process it a soon as RA is approved and refund is settled in our account.
