I had booked my ticket to the US with Air India. My flight was scheduled to fly on 7th May, but it was canceled because of the US flight ban due to COVID-19.
The flight was canceled on May 3rd. It has been 57 days since cancellation and my refund request has still not been processed by the Airline.
My ticket was booked through MakeMyTrip, which says that the airline is not granting any refund requests at all, and I need to deal with the airline directly. I have called the Air India customer support helpline countless times, written them emails, tweeted to them, but to no avail. They keep saying that it is under process on the call, ask me to write emails, and they have NEVER responded to my email.
My ticket number is 098-[protected]. The flight was DEL-ORD-PIT.
I am a student planning to go study in the United States, and the pending refund amount is huge (more than ₹70000) which is causing my financial distress and anxiety since I have no money to re-book my flight for August.
My humble request to Air India is to please grant me my refund. A customer should not be made to beg for their hard earned money from a giant corporate like yours, when you did not even deliver the services that you were supposed to. The flight was cancelled by you, not me. Please refund my money to me, I am in dire need of it.
