I had called american express in september 2019 and followed the right set of procedure to cancel my card because i was not ok with the membership fee
I was told to discard the card and the card has been disabled since october 2019.
American express when ahead and added a charge on my card on 16th january 2020 because they reversed the fee twice.
This fee is no where visible in my statements
This was applied as american express, as they failed to tally my account properly before closure
I had ensured to clear all my pending charges reflecting on the account before card disposal
Since then they have been harassing me and putting latepayment on this card for the last 5 months
They have blocked all my personal card to see or download my statements
Till date there is no explanation or accountability for their mistake on their side where they have been applying wrong credits or bad charges to my account since january
This card status is cancelled fyi even as they go about applying these charges
Desirable resolution: they are spoiling my credit score and have harassed me for the last 5 months with various people calling to clear the credit but no body in amerian express taking ownership of their mistake. I should not be accountable for their tally mistakes and be mentally harassed with them putting charges left right center on a cancelled card
