This time it happens with me too, I appeared for subject title International Business Management for program M.Phil I.B My result is also not declared because they lost my answer sheet….. Alagappa University is one of the sick University in India…. I will file a suit against this University.

There was no loss of any answer books as complained by the complainant and was never brought to the appropriate authorities. As the University is well known all over the country and also in the world and moreover no genuine student of the University shall name the University as ‘sick’.

I am currently a student of this university and I have given may B.Com (CA) 1st year exam and I got the results. I will be giving my 2nd year exam soon and I hope this does not happen with me or any one else. You should file a suit against the University or ask the media’s help.

I did my Bachelor’s degree form Alagappa University Tamil nadu in 2006 through Distance. I came to know that the Indian Universities which offer Distance Education programmes should take permission from Distance Education council (DEC) New Delhi, before starting their courses, without which degrees offered by such universities are not valid. Hence Universities in India has to take permission from DEC and it is mandatory for universities in India giving Distance Education courses. Alagappa University, Tamil Nadu is one such University that does not have DEC grant to give Distance Education Courses. So parents and students beware of this fake University courses.

Alagappa University was established under an Act of the Govt of Tamil Nadu with the approval o[censored]GC under section 12 (B). It is a member of the Association of the Common wealth Universities and Association of Indian Universities. Hence ours is not a fake University.
For the information of Readers, our University offer distance education programme from the year 1992 many year before DEC was established by Indira Gandhi open University Moreover it is not mandatory for state University to obtain clearance of DEC to offer distance Education courses However. Necessary action has already been initiated for getting approval of the Distance Education council for DE programmes offered by the University.

I agree with Roshesh Alagappa University Distance courses are indeed not recognized by Distance Education council. Its waste of time and money doing courses from Alagappa University

I completely agree with all you guys. Alagappa University DDE has lost my answer sheets and the Controller of Examination is a foolish butt, he doesn’t know what is going on in this University, He is just sitting and taking his monthly salary without doing any work. He doesn’t have any control over examination department.
And I am very thankful to this website, that I came to know that Alagappa University Distance courses are not approved by DEC, New Delhi. Hence it proves that this University is cheating the students and their parents…. Shame on this university …… shame on NAAC for giving A grade …. Shame on Director and Controller of Examinations of DDE for cheating students and destroying their academics.

No specific Complaints has been received regarding loss of answer papers. If any such complaints are made to the authorities, complaints are attended and solved then and there. Administration has been tuned to tackle such issues of students carefully and meticulously. Remarks on the Controller of Examinations and the Director (DDE) are unwarranted and unbecoming of a University Student.
The University has already taken action to get the approval of the Distance Education Courses by DEC.

Besides all the above issues, mentioned in this forum, Alagappa university does not send the mark sheet, provisional passing certificates and degree certificates on time and only after so many reminders to the University and study centres they despatch the mark sheets but they don’t despatch provisional passing certificates and degree certificates.

There is no truth in the allegation, Alagappa University is releasing the results within a period of 2 months after the Examinations are over. Mark Statements and provisional certificates are being despatched on time: Original Degree certificates are dispatched only after the Convocation is over.

I totally agree to you even I’m suffering for the same These people have lost our papers and now we don’t know what to do. They are saying they have received the papers and want is to wait till we received the results.
Also they are not asking us to reappear for the exams…. I’m in a big mess done by these people. It makes no sense of speaking with the controller of examinations who only uses one liner “Check Internet for results”. This guy doesn’t even know how important is the result for students. I need my result for further studies and I’m now stuck with the same. I’m just hoping that I receive my results so that I can study further without spoiling my one full year.

The candidate has given contradictory statements regarding the alleged loss of answer papers. Necessary action will be taken if the candidate gives specific information about his enrolment number, examination subject, month year of appearance.
Results are uploaded in the internet as soon as they are published.
Complaints on non-receipt of results are being attended to promptly.

I agree with all complaints. My son did a Masters degree from Alagappa university and let me tell you it was a mental torture they gave my son and me, he was a distinction holder till his graduation.
After he joined Alagappa University DDE, Tamil Nadu for masters course. The University used to always either fail him in one or two subjects every semester or they would say they have lost answer sheets and also marks they gave him in passing papers were ridiculous, my son would always tell me the university does not seem to check the answer sheets.
The university does not have provision for providing Xerox copy of checked answer sheets to student for checking the authenticity of marks. This in itself shows that the university gives fake marks without checking the answer sheets. Also they never used to send mark sheets on time and also passing certificate and degree certificate. They always ask to send fax to Controller of Examinations who is a dumb , and also further when you contact them they tell you to submit request to study centre as well. All these years we went through mental agony, till my son completed his degree plus I have also found out from this website that Alagappa University does not have permission from Distance Education Council, New Delhi, to give distance courses.
I am writing this so that all prospective students who are looking to join distance courses avoid Alagappa University so that their parents hard earned money is not wasted.
I am really very sad for the students and their parents who have posted their grievance in this forum and I can understand their feeling and mental state. God save you from the clutches of this Dracula university.

Answer papers are being valued by duly qualified & competent examiners and marks are awarded based on the performance of the students. Hence the allegation is denied as false and misleading.

The university has provision for providing Xerox copy of the valued Answer scripts. The student can apply for getting Xerox copy of the answer sheets on payment of Rs.200/- per paper. Mark statements and provisional certificates are being despatched immediately after the results are announced. Degree certificates are dispatched after the convocation is over. The University is taking steps to get the approval of Distance Education courses by DEC.

Shocked and astonished to see all you guys comments. I had no idea of the aweful problems for have been facing. I really feel sorry for that and hope this doesn’t happen to others in future.
Well I am also one of the students of this university, who has done graduation (BA English) through Distance Education under registration No.[protected]. What my concern is I am trying to search my result on line by giving the above number on the University website. But I am getting an error message saying “Please enter valid Registration No”. Unable to understand on this.
Can any one clarify me whether it is possible to trace my result this way. Appreciate necessary help.

Mr.Mohammed Ibrahim has passed his B.A. English examinations in May 2005. His provisional certificate and cumulative mark statements were dispatched to his residential address at Madras Road, Cuddapah on 01.09.2005. Therefore his results are not expected to be available now on the university website .

Alagappa University sends letter for M.Phil viva-voce very late. The student of M.Phil chemistry received the letter on the same day of viva-voce. Even your websites does not give proper guidelines in such matters. So I kindly request you please send me next late of viva voce for M.Phil chemistry as well as M.Phil Botany as early as possible on my mail address.

The University is permitting the M.Phil students to appear for the Viva Voce in the next schedule in case they do not receive the Viva Voce intimation on time, due to postal delay etc., It is pertinent here to inform that as many as 300 students belonging to Karnataka State got their M.Phil results within a short period of time.
