1. Total opaque process & billing – Hospital does not discuss costs upfront if the patient is insurance patient. This is important since hidden costs are disclosed later and
patient is forced to pay out of pocket for those expenses being excluded from insurance T&C. Eg, . i had to pay for Covid HDU charges as operations costs being excluded from insurance.
Inspite of having a higher room rent limit, i am forced to pay these out of the pocket. To me, adding the operations cost in the bill is absurd. The charges ideally had to
be part of the room rent just like all other common costs. In addition, i did not find any justification of these costs based on the hospital experience. If these costs were
put for PPE kits and Covid related maintenance, then i am sorry i did not see any of your nurses or staffs using them. So why should i pay for items which are just arbitrary
and blanket in nature. This is totally unjust. Over the top TPA has an agreed tariff with the hospital for room rent of rs 8000. In such a case, finding arbitrary cost heads like these
is a circumventing practice and cater to making business instead of providing hospital service.
2. Room Rent Billing – As per the bill, my father was put into a 3 days CCU after 2 days of ICU. The cost of CCU is almost same as ICU. I am not sure if that was a CCU.
It was a private room which was no different than the private rooms my father was put in the past for his hospitalizations. There were no special instruments for monitoring.
Whatever instruments that were used have been already billed separately in the bill. In fact the room was not up to the mark as compared to rooms in earlier hospitalizations.
Also you could see there is not much difference between the rates of ICU and the CCU as per the bill. Thats the reason it puts me in doubt if there is a billing error in
terms of room for the last 3 days of my father’s hospitalization. It was just a private room that should have been charged. Also i am surprised that TPA did not question
this too. Though it is paid in the insurance but it still impacts my Sum Assured and also cost to the insurance company. Whats the point of paying for services that one does
not receive?
There has been no response from the hospital inspite of contacting over phone, email and twitter many times. There is no response from your grievance department too.
I do agree the quality of doctors and the staff is excellent and services are customer friendly. But having such opaque billing practices and inflation of bills does not paint
a good picture to the customer and dent your reputation as a quality service provider. I hope you will act.
The Apollo Home care Delhi is one of the worst service provider. They gave us a hospital bed on rent which broke while the patient was lying on the bed on[protected] and there was a near miss event, otherwise there would have been a severe brain injury to the patient. They just dusted it with a small sorry and replaced with another bed same day. No compensation was provided for such a big fault.
I got the bed changed for a better one today[protected]. There is no coordination amongst the staff. The delivery persons disturbs early in the morning at 6 AM for delivery and in spite of all resistances, argues to change the bed then and there at 7 AM in the morning when the patient is sleeping. When yelling at him, he says he will fix the bed outside my house on the pavement and later we can drag it inside.
No compassion for patient care or regards. In return their Biomedical Engineer when complained about the event, states that ‘What is the problem if he came early’. Their in charge Dr Sanjeev was called by me to visit my office at Apollo Hospital ( I work as a Jr Consultant at Apollo Hospital, New Delhi) but he neither replied nor came to meet at the time said.
These people only care for their money. Highly greedy and selfish people with no courtesy of talking or dealing with patients. I cannot imagine what services they provide to common man. They are so rude and blunt with me being a doctor at the same facility. Time and again they have proved of their in-competencies and they care only for money. No quality products being given, no compensations only harassments.

I am writing this email in-regards to the inconvenience caused to me and the patient in Apollo Hospital. I appreciate that the doctor panel is REALLY GOOD in Apollo Hospital, Navi Mumbai but your management and support staff is a joke and is deformed. It takes 4 days to change a steamer for a patient even after complaining several time. Also contacting any department is so difficult there is no proper matrix provided anywhere. Once you get in touch with any department they reply that they are busy working so can’t revert right away and if that is true then why the damn he is even answering the phone. Person managing the show is piece of ### may be cause nobody is available in Apollo for anything and if you ask then they will just revert back saying they have some other work related to hospital and they cannot answer you query. So if they can’t answer the query why are the even present in CUSTOMER service department. TPA dept replies to query almost after 24 hrs utter nuisance. Also even after dropping them several email’s to mark me in cc, they just ignore and never keeps patient’s family in loop. Don’t you think it should be a protocol to mark a cc on communication email with TPA. It is just tip of an ice-berg but if you really want to know what is wrong with the management and service then please try communicating your staff being a patient relative you will realise, how pathetic and terrible service quality is being provided.

I booked an online consultation with Dr Suresh Kumar Rawat, Sr Con.(Urology) with Indraprastha Apollo
Hospitals, New Delhi on[protected] through 24×7 apollo app for my mother, Mrs Najma Sultana Ansari. The
consultation was held as per schedule i.e on[protected]. However, no prescription was uploaded in the
system. In fact, I had specifically requested the doctor to upload the prescription for my records.
As a result I raised a complaint through the app citing reason – unable to see my Health records.
The first complaint ticket was raised in May’21 which was closed by Apollo without resolution. (Ticket
no : 778170) – see attachment
Thereafter, I raised 2nd complaint in Jul-21 which met the same fate. – see attachment
The callous attitude of Apollo Hospitals has compelled to mark a copy of this complaint letter to PS to
Principal Health Secretary, Delhi Govt.
It is pertinent to mention here that after raising the 1st ticket I received a call from customer care
executive who happened to insinuate that since I had not specifically asked for the prescription from
the doctor it was not uploaded. This is plain mockery of the system and reflects very poorly on the
professionalism expected from an internationally recognised institution like Apollo.
I once again request Apollo to look into my complaint and resolve the issue without further dilly
dallying.

I have paid INR 1600 for RT PCR test to lab tech of Apollo diagnostic gwalior M.P who came at my home for sample collection but he didnt give me a receipt of INR 1600.I have sent several mails to apollo customer care but they give fake assurances and didn’t send receipt of rt pcr report.Is that apollo services who did my rt pcr but i hv asked for recopt of amount

If you go to above website, it lets you register first or second dose vovid vaccination takes payment, gives recept and then you can iss your money goodbye.
Go to local apollo hospital and show them the receipt with UHID and it does not show any records.
Of course the contact number is clueless about what you are asking.
My 70+ Aged parents went for their second dose of vaccination (first dose was Covishield) at Apollo Clinic, HSR Layout, Bangalore today 1st July, 2021. I had registered them on Arogya setu asking specifically for the paid covishield 2nd dose. The Apollo team did not even ask them what vaccine they had previously taken and gave them the Covaxin. My mother even enquired before her shot and the nurse did not respond or bother to reconfirm. After the vaccination, they were unable to generate the certificate and told me to delete beneficiaries from my Arogya Setu app so they can directly upload from their end. My father’s details were erased and only one final certificate for Covaxin is now showing. My mother has registered with her own number so this process was not effective and she is now left without a certificate. We tried talking to the team at apollo who were trying to blame my parents for asking for Covaxin. This whole incident has caused alot of mental agony and my whole family is trying to talk to various doctors to understand implications of this mix up. I expected alot more responsibility from a group like Apollo and i am disappointed with the whole experience.

This is with ref. to discussion held on 10.06.2021 at your corporate office at Ameerpet, Hyderabad.
I am writing to complain about billing for my husband, Mr. Rupesh Kumar Jha ( IP[protected] treatment at your hospital . He was admitted from 30th April 2021 to 4th May 2021.
Throughout his treatment the hospital never shared the details of Bill on a daily basis . Nevertheless, when he got discharged from the hospital, on that day as well we didn’t receive Final Bill as they required sometime to manipulate and do forgery with the same to arrive at some insane Bill amount.
Case Brief :
· My husband was being hospitalized as referred by Dr. Kiran Macha. Even after requesting him for home treatment, the doctor advised to admit him in an emergency.
· I kept on requesting at reception for cashless as Indo – Us Hospital was part of Network hospital under my corporate Insurance but they simply denied and asked to deposit 1 lac immediately mentioning that beds are available only on First come First basis.
· It has also been mentioned that its totally management’s decision to consider the case under cashless or not.
· Total Bill charged was Rs. 206962/- just for 5 days which was shocking for my Insurance Company as 50 % of the amount was overbilled .
· An amount of Rs. 102710/- were charged specifically under Services & Procedures Head which comes under Non Payable as these are part of Room Rent & can’t be charged twice. It’s unethical.
Further would like to highlight few discrepancies which clearly indicates Scam/ Forgery/ Manipulation to extract maximum from victim:

Ø Sanitization Charges of ICU & common area have been charged daily however, patient has never been shifted to ICU and how can Rs. 8800/- per day be charged for common area sanitization?

Ø While discussion it has been communicated that PPE for F & B Services is a cost incurred against an individual delivering food . Person coming for food delivery is for the entire floor and not just for one patient. Moreover, how can it cost 1850 /- per meal per person? Assuming two staff serving 100 people on multiple floors, the hospital would be earning 180000/- per meal delivered against PPE kit charges. Hence, as per our assumption hospital must have spent maximum 2000/- on PPE Kit and is earning 3-4 lacs on it. Its highly unethical.
All these are only a few instances and are too absurd. It may be mentioned that we are not highlighting over billing in the Pharmacy section as we are not much aware about medicine costs .
Hi am swamy from mysore last week I visit a appollo hospital with my wife she s a ulcerative collitis patient someone suggest consult Mr Rajkumar P Wadva so we came n consulted but we r not satisfied with his communication he behaved lik nonsense anyway as a educated s we controlled ourselves after examines of all tests of my wife like biopsy n all he gave us a medicines n he s not ready to tel us how to use medicine tel us ask assistants but literally they don’t know how use dat medicines coz of those people I lost 20 thousand n above with trust on appolo hospital pls tel dem to behave cool with patients n pls recuite wel doctor as his assistants …finally trust we wl get solution for dis complaint …your faithfully middle class patient
