Fortis Hospital,
Mulund (w).
Respected Sir,
.

My self Mrs. Sheetal S. Manek would like to inform the management about unfair things happened with us n take appropriate action to maintain the good name of this Hospital.

I would like to summarise everything in detail n i really expect good response from ur side.

My Husband Mr. Sanat D. Manek, had GALL BLADDER STONE, n we had come to take opinion of Dr. DHIREN PIPALIA, He suggested us to meet Dr. MOHAN KOPPIKER for surgery,
so we immediately met Dr.M. KOPPIKER and he suggested us for surgery. We agreed n my husband was admitted on 7th of june 2010, under the treatment of Dr. MOHAN KOPPIKER.
N here the First Problem Started, We are pure vegetarian, n the food served on 7th june for dinner was non veg. Staff members appolozised n said sorry. ok No problem cause this was not a
major problem but it did not stopped here.

Next day i.e. 8th june 2010 in the morning was the surgery, but before surgery Dr. Mohan Koppiker N Assist. Dr. Naushaad, told us that my husbands HCV blood report was positive. so he
suggested that it would be better i[censored] again meet Dr. Dhiren Pipalia n i will talk to him about this. but at present there is no problem in doing the Surgery. So he did the Surgery it was done
very very perfectly n nicely, We are really very very happy with the Dr.M. Koppiker, wonderful job he had done, along with the Gall bladder stone Surygery i.e. LAPROSCOPIC CHOLECYSTECTOMY,
Dr. M. Koppiker also got scare tissues of LIVER so that it would be easy for us to do the Liver Biopsy, so we were very happy with the Dr.M. Koppiker, such nice gentle man. So atlast surgery was
successfully done. Now in the evening Dr. Dhiren Pipalia came to see my Husband. Mr. Sanat coz Dr. M.Koppiker had talked to Dr. D. Pipalia about the HCV Positive test. So Dr.D.Pipali suggested
us to do sum tests which was going to charge us approx Rs.15000/- we agreed n said yes to do the tests that were 1. HCV RNA QUANTITATIVE and 2. HCV GENOTYPE along with the
LIVER BIOPSY.
DR. M.Koppiker came to see my Husband, he found everything normal n gave us discharge and even that time he confirmed about Dr. D.Pipalia's tests, we said yes that we are going for
the two tests mentioned above. and even blood sample was collected initially for all basic tests before the surgery, so we thought that this two test will also be performed from that blood samples
Ok n Dr. Priya was assissting Dr. M. Koppiker that day, even i confirmed with her before discharge that this two tests has to done n she said yes u have cum next week n collect the reports of these
all tests. Suddenly before discharge we were said that these two tests were not necessary to be done, we were shocked, so confirmed Dr. Priya again n again she said yes, after asking for again
again Dr. Priya said ok i will confirm with Dr. D.Pipalia n tell u so she called Dr. D.Pipalia n said yes, no need to be done these two tests, so she cancelled with the pen.
Ok now we were discharged. We were called for follow up by Dr. M.Koppiker on 14th June. That time even he asked us to meet Dr. D. Pipalia for further investigation of Liver Biopsy Reports, that time
even Dr, Koppiker was surprised that why these 2 tests were cancelled.

So we took an appointment n were called for follow up 17th June 2010. for Dr, D.Pipalia
He asked us for all the reports, we were shocked , we asked which reports Dr.? U had told only for LIVER BIOPSY n other two reposrts i.e.1. and 2. even that time Dr.D.Pipalia was shocked, He said
I had told to do this reports why not done ? He said i had never told Dr. Priya to cancel this reports n she had not confirmed with it, that time we were very unhappy with the thing happend with us.
So we contacted Dr. Nisha from management. we told her the whole matter," that today we are here to Meet Dr. D.Pipalia from last 5 hrs, waiting, n paid the fees also but what's the use, without
reports what will Doctor suggest us."
Dr.D.Pipalia even talked Dr.Nisha that i have not said no to Dr.Priya, So she immediately called Dr. Priya, now the turning pt. Dr. Priya is clearly saying no that i have not cancelled this two tests,at the
time of discharge Asst.Dr. Tejashree was there so she is responsible,n not me…………. so this matter was joke for all of them, then we had to raise our voice but no use,. than Dr. Nisha said I will

check were the problem was n u call me again after two days , so we said ok. Than after two days v again called Dr. Nisha , She said that problem was of Mediclaim co. Our Mediclaim Co. had paid
such a huge amount of surgery , i.e. Rs. 71,157/- So, we dont at all thing that Mediclaim Co. wud refuse for these two tests. And even if the Mediclaim Co. had refused to pay for it, Than It is a
RESPOSIBILITY of the Hospital Doctors to tell us clearly the matter before cancelling the tests, We would have definately paid for the same. Because eof this behavioural pattern My Husband has to
suffer, already he had gone through a Major Surgery.

We expect the Management to take proper action against the nonsense reason given to us.
Please reply soon.

Thank You.

Yours Sincerely
Mrs. Sheetal S. Manek.

Dear Sir/Mam,

I shalini Tripathi, Ex employee of Fortis Health Care Ltd (Emp Id- FESL 264) would like to bring in your kind notice that i worked with this organization for 7 months (04 Jan 2010 – 13 Aug 2010) & resigned from my services due to some urgency.
For my settlement when i contacted to HR, they said there is no due from the company end, however i have to pay an amount of Rs11,700 to company itself. I am shocked with the behavior of company people who are asking me to pay rather than finalized of my dues.
I don't know by which method they have calculated all these.
Further, they never handed over me the confirmation letter which is supposed to be given after six months of joining & Just because of this they are not approving my paid leaves which I took for 8 days & now they are asking me to pay for the same. Also for they are saying once the amount (Rs 11,700) is paid only then the PF amount can be released.
I have no issue with the rules & regulations of company & I am ready to pay the amount if there is something from my end but i want everything to be transparent.
I would request you kindly look in to the matter.

Thanks
Shalini Tripathi

I was admitted to Fortis Hospital on the intervening night of 8/9 sept'10 with acute pain in the lower abdomen. After the necessary tests it was diagnosed as a stone in the urinary tract. A surgery was scheduled for the next day and the operating doctor was Dr Dushyant Nadar, Sr. Consultant Urology and Renal Transplant.

I am extremely hurt and disappointed by the rude and arrogant attitude of Dr Dushyant.

After the operation, i had acute pain and when i or my wife tried to speak with Dr Dushyant, he was extremely rude and went as far as to say that i am abusing the pain killers. I have no idea where or how did he base this observation on…when questioned he was dismissive and refused to explain his comments saying that he has been in these shoes for very long time (whatever this means). Anyways, i was discharged from the hospital on the 12th Sept'10, with the Stent still in place, which i was told would be removed in about 10days time. No further explanation was given to me, for the reasons of leaving the stent in place, even after i asked categorically about it.

Today (14th Spt'10), that is two days after the discharge, i had acute pain and also developed rashes on my pennis, which are very painful. I tried to call Dr Dushyant to tell him about this development and seek his advise for relief but, he was again rude and dismissive about the whole thing. When i tried to explain my condition, he did not even wait to listen to me and cut me short by saying that this is expected with the stent in place. I again told him about the rashes on the pennis and the excruciating pain, which only elicited a curt reply from him, saying that, i need to go to the hospital. He said that he is not supposed to take calls and hence cannot listen to me or talk to me any further and abruptly disconnected the call.

I have some very elementary questions:
If he is not supposed to take calls, then why did he answer his mobile?

Why did he give his mobile number is the first place?

Do we, as patients, deserve to be treated with such arrogance and disdain, after paying so heavily to institutions like Fortis? (I made a payment in excess of 65000/- for this treatment)

Is there no accountability for Doctors like Dr Dushyant, who believe and certainly act, as if they are doing every patient of theirs a personal favor by treating them and hence can indulge in such insolence?

Does Fortis Hospital believe in the policy of Customer Delight and Customer Care? If yes, has it ever been passed on to the like of Dr Dushyant?

While, I am now trying to seek advice from some other Dr and hospital for the excruciating pain I am in, I would like to know, what if any, steps would the administration of Fortis Noida take, to correct the wrong done to me?

I sincerely hope that the administration and the higher authorities in Fortis Noida, do not approve and subscribe to such apathetic attitude, as displayed by Dr Dushyant and will take immediate steps to ensure that other patients, are not treated with such disdain or insulted by Dr Dushyant or for that matter any other Doctor, ever again.

Sincelerly Yours

An extremely dissatisfied patient

Aditya Nayyar

PS: I shall be marking the copies of this complaint to all forums available, so that other patients are not subjected to such ill treatment at the hands of Dr Dushyant.

Dear Sir/Madam
I wish to complain about your fortis healthcare world branch in circular road amritsar. The people selling medicines are not qualified pharmacists. I was once sold expired medicines for which the owner apologized so i let it go. Now the sample collection of the same centre is very very poorly managed. the technician is unqualified. No hygeine i;e disinfecting of hands was done. This is shocking that a reputed company such as yours would give a franchise without quality control. Today, I had even a worse experience when I was told lies that the test can not be done in amritsar. They are not even aware of tests that are done in fortis amritsar. they took two samples of lipid profile and TSH and promised that the tests would be done in Fortis hospital Amritsar. Apparently, one was sent to Gurgaon which takes three days for the report. I should have been truthfully informed that the test can not be done locally. I would have gone to another lab or to the hospital itself. The technician claimed that the hospital also does not have the testing facility so it was sent to gurgaon. This is nonsense. I feel if you have such people representing your company it will ruin your reputation. I am going file a case on the local branch if no action is taken by you. For an average uneducated person can be taken for a ride in such a case. I am extremely disappointed and hope your management will take necessary action to restore my faith

Service is patahtic in Fortis noida. I got my son from the same hospital 4 years back. That time , It was better managed. Now it's worse. My mother got operated in it yesterday. Insuarnce comapny had paid the entire amount in advance. Still, they ask for Rs 5000 security deposit. That too 24 hours before operation. Despite paying it, no bed available on time. Doctor pushed the operation on his risk. Within 2 hours they asked to release the bed. It's like trading of beds. When i got her relived, they did not relieve her as there was delay from insurance company side for 1 hour ( 1000 Rs) I cried as You have 5000 rs as advance. Why don't release the patiant ?

It was really headache especially when a person is in operation mode.

Hi,
My friend cousin had been admitted to Fortis Hospitals – Cunningham Road for a heart surgery. The heart operation failed and the patient died. The hospital said that we had given every possible treatment and billed an amount of Rs.12 Lakhs/- for the treatment. When the relatives of the patient went to collect the body, they couldn't even bend the arm, it was so difficult. When they asked about it to the doctors they said we had given her treatment and so it is like this. The relatives got suspicious and called there known doctor from elsewhere and he declared that the patient was dead long before. So, the relatives threatened to the hospital doctors that they will bring Media and you need to give full report regarding the death.
The hospital doctors got frightened about the Media thing and returned back Rs. 13 Lakhs.

Beware of "Fortis Hospitals – Cunningham Road" people, they are milking money for the cost of the patient.

Horrendous experience at Fortis, Mohali
I had the most unfortunate experience of getting my aunt (Tayiji) Mrs. Krishna Dewan (ID: 286994)operated at Fortis for Sigmoid Diverticuloses coupled with Colovesical Fistula under Dr. J.D. Wig and Dr. A.S. Bawa. She was admitted on 4/2/11 in Fortis Hospital, Mohali. At the time of admission, the counsellor ( Ms. Zubi) had in consultation with Dr. J.D. Wigtold us that the total cost of surgery will be around Rs. 1.75 Lakh and she will require to stay in hospital for 4-5 days. She was operated on 5/2/11. After the operation, a leak was detected in her surgery (left due to the negligence of the operating doctor) as a result of which she developed Septocemia. The doctors at Fortis kept on falsely assuring us that she will be alright though she was put on ventilator after she developed complications. When we saw no recovery, we had to shift her to P.G.I. Chandigarh as per the doctor’s advice on 24/2/11. We spent around Rs. 7.4 Lakhs as against Rs. 1.75 lakhs earlier told to us. She unfortunately died on 0 04/03/11 as she could not recover from the Septocemia she had developed at Fortis.
During my stay at Fortis, I was astonished to notice the callous attitude of the doctors available. The whole motive of running the hospital to my mind, it seems is to make money. The welfare of the patients sadly seems to be the last concern of the hospital. On 13/02/11 when she developed complications, though we had deposited Rs. 1.75 lakhs at the reception on the same day, for a mere Rs. 20000 which was to be the cost of the days to come, her operation was delayed by more than an hour. We had a hard time convincing the female sitting at the reception that this cost is to be occurred after 5 days and against a surgery cost of Rs. 11500, We had deposited more than Rs. 1.2 Lakhs. The remaining cost of Rs. 20000 will be required only if survived the second surgery, but the lady was adamant and refused to give the clearance for surgery without realising that the delay of one hour could have been fatal. The female asked us to sign the promissory note thought we pleaded that as soon as the operation started somebody can go back home and bring the balance. Little did, she realised that the day was Sunday and it was 7 AM in the morning. How cruel, inhuman and insensitive a human being can be ,I realised after this experience.
I think the motto written everywhere in the hospital as “CARE AND CURE” should be changed to SCARE- so as to attract patients by terrifying them with wrong and inflated diagnosis and SECURE – Assests/ money for the hospital by holding the patients as bonded after they are admitted and sucking the life out of them even if they survive.

Its been almost 8 months by now. I havent received my Provident Fund. I had submitted the filled PF withdrawal forms twice along with a blank cancelled checks. Both the times, the irresponsibles HRs of Fortis Nagarbhavi has misplaced my forms and whenever I call them ,they keep on giving me the dates saying next week and all. I dont know what to do. I wanted my hard earned money back. Kindly help me in this.
I was interacting with Mr.MuraliKrishna and then Mr.Giridhar. Everytime I call them, they fool me giving some dates. Mr.Giridhar also have said Mr.Sathish is incharge of the same, who sits in Corporate office.
Kindly look into this matter and kindly do the needful at the earliest.
