I had a cataract surgery of my father (Mr. Awadhesh Shukla) at fortis vashi today.(UHID:[protected]
Complaint background:
Financial counselor: Stated that cataract package is of Rs 33000. In case any additional drugs is REQUIRED /used for the patience then they are keeping a budget of Rs 7000 maximum for those drug.
At the time of billing they have charged EXTRA Rs 5500 for surgery / Procedure, Rs 1037 for consumables.
Question:
1) How can you charge extra for something which was already included in package? COUNSELOR HAS STATED CLEARLY THAT PACKAGE IS OF RS 33K.
2) Can you have cataract operation without surgery?
3) if no they how come surgery/ procedure is beyond package & charged extra ?
4) why this information was not clearly stated in paper & in word that this cost is not a part of package?
