To whomsoever it may concern

I am enjoying optima restore policy from your company from last 3 years and on 16th march2016 an executive from your company name aadesh kumar (Code no[protected] visited to collect the premium cheque for my existing policy, after receiving the cheque he asked for any reference for a new policy and also prompted me to get the same policy for my husband which i agreed upon. He explained me features of optima restore policy again and told me premium of rs.4598 for a cover of 5 lakh. When i asked why the premium is so less whereas my premium is high the he told me since it is a fresh policy that is why premium is low. After my approval he took my signatures on the proposal form and i on his good faith has signed the proposal form. As a layman customer i was not aware that different policy have different proposals form. He fraudulently took the signatures on form as the upper side of the form which mentions the name of the policy was folded. He has done a fraud by selling me a policy which i never asked for.
It is further advised that after collecting the cheque mr. Adesh never responded to me to inform the status of the policy document. On my constant pursuance i could trace him out who then sent me the policy document on my mail on 6th april2016 whereas the cheque was debited from my account on 16th marc2016. I never received the hard copy of the policy and after my constant chase up i received the document on my mail. After going through policy document i found out that it was “easy health policy” instead of optima restore, i immediately contacted aadesh to confirm about this upon which he admitted his mistake and told me he did the mistake out of confusion (His calls may be tracked for confirmation). The i asked him to get the policy converted in to optima restore upon which he flatly refused that it cannot be converted, after that i called up customer care and asked them for solution and they also gave me same response that it cannot be converted so i told them to cancel my policy as this policy was mis-selled to me. After that i got several calls from customer care asking the reasons but no-body gave me the solution and finally they told me that i will be only getting 75% of the refund, i asked them the reason because as per irda if anybody cancels the policy with in free look period 100% amount is refunded then the customer care executive gave me a very vague reason that since i have admitted that this policy has been mis-selled therefore in this case they will not be refunding 100% amount.
On 3rd may i again got a call from customer care and they told me that their sales head mr. Devendra singh rawat and aadesh kumar are also on line.In that conversation mr. Devendra singh rawat told me that 100 % money cannot be refunded and if i allow that they can now convert the policy into optima restore after taking deviation approval. If there is a process of taking deviation approval then why this step was not taken in the first instance. I never told mr. Rawat to convert the policy, i had asked him to give me day’s time to rethink over it and after that i get a message that my complaint has been resolved and closed.
Fed up of such behavior i strongly instruct you to certainly cancel my policy and refund me 100% amount (Rs 4598) to avoid any legal complications otherwise i would be bound to knock the doors of higher ups/court of law.

When we took policy we cleared everything that 20 yrs back I was having paralysis but naw everything is ok. Policy advisor said its ok . He took my document n signature on form and I got policy document .after few month I admitted in hospital due to normal weakness, headache, body pain and loss of appetite. I claim for my cashless policy but Appolo rejected and my advisor said I vl get reimbursement .after runing for 2 month they rejected my claim they r asking for 20 yrs back paralysis report .I don't have those report but all other required document I submitted.

My plan is Click to Protect and I have a accident on 21 Nov 2017. I submitted all my original medical bills to HDFC Life and they send them to Apollo Munich in january.
But since then Apollo Munich is not able to do anything. they are not able to find my documents (original medical bills ) and every time when I call to there customer care they allways said that we are taking it on higher priority.
Sir don't make fool o[censored]s because higher priority work doesn't take 5 months to complete a work.
This is hike of a frustration to me, and I don't know what to do with these life insurance fakes.

I applied for health insurance through policy bazar. Application number was B[protected] and the case id was 2651928. I paid slightly more than 14k (HDFC Bank transfer). But I was refunded 11k. So company has deducted around 3k. Tried to followup with them to know what was the reason of deducting 3k. Did not get any specific answer but the probable answer was that the deduction was related to required blood tests.

Here I am not complaining regarding the cancellation of the Insurance but the refund money which was 3k less than the amount I paid.

The funny part is, when I asked them the details of my lab test that they have arranged they could not provide me the details. The truth is, I did the tests on my own expense and provided them the result. The same payment copy was provided to them too but still they did not respond back. So I look at it as a case of cheating.

They claim that they have arranged the test but when challenged they are unable to furnish the details whereas I have provided the bill copy and even then they are not accepting the same.

What a shame!!!

Looking forward a suitable response and refund of my remaining 3k.

Dear sir/madam,

I am in receipt of your letter dated 7th november 2016, terminating my health insurance policy, giving 30 days’ notice period and from the 30th day of the payment of the last premium.
We had opted for apollo munich, after a lot of convincing done your agent, without realising that we would have to face the present circumstances.
Our experience with your company this time around after having paid premium on time for four consecutive years and not having lodged any claim on account of virender raina for the past four years, since we did not need the same and when we actually needed it has been pathetic and as a customer and a cancer patient, i feel totally let down and cheated by your company. I say so because of the series of events that i had to go through which at each time showcased to me the unwillingness of your company to entertain any claim from me, probably because the amount in consideration was higher than the basic insured value. Let me enumerate the same for your ready reference:
• after the diagnosis and consultation with three specialist when each one of them was of the opinion that i needed to remove my left kidney immediately, after studying the policy documents and list of network hospitals, we decided on kokilaben dhirubhai ambani hospital & medical research institute, andheri west, mumbai for undergoing the operation.
• in view of the mandatory 7 day notice for pre-planned hospitalisation, as per the policy we considered the date of 7th of november and submitted all the requisite documents to the tpa desk on the 1st of november. [id: 295482/1 of virender raina]
• on 2nd the tpa received denial of cashless service and the reason given for the same was “cashless facility cannot be granted as presenting ailment for which treatment is sought comes under standard exclusion as per policy terms & conditions.”
• spoke to the helpline number asking for the clause number for understanding it better but they were unable to explain the same and then asked them to put me on to some senior person and finally was given the understanding that robotic surgery was not covered and that apollo munich did not have an mou in place for the same with the concerned hospital. [have recordings of the conversations had]
• the officer at the tpa desk also tried his best to understand the reason for denial but he was also given the same explanation.
• with understand that robotic surgery was not allowed, identified laparoscopic surgery for the same and with the help of a senior surgeon, and went to jaslok hospital and through their tpa desk applied once again [id: 296095/1] on the 4th of november. [ your letter mentions the date as 07/11/16]
• on the 4th itself an additional information request form was received with reasons “all past opd records related to kidney disease, investigation reports of the patient supporting the diagnosis, valid address proof copy of passport, ration card, aadhar card, telephone bill, electricity bill, not older than three months or current passbook with statement of bank account updated in the last 3 months with latest photo of the patient.” tpa replied at 5.07 pm on the same day.
• on the 4th itself another additional information request form was sent by you to the tpa with the reasons “1) latest photo of the patient 2) all previosu treatment records and investigation reprots related to chronic colitis since 2011.” [note the typo is as per the letter received]. The tpa informed us at 7.37 pm on the same day and we went with the documents and met them on the 5th morning. Tpa replied at 9 am on 5/11/16.
• on the 5th we once again receive denial of cashless service with the reasons: cashless facility cannot be granted due to non-disclosure of material facts which are observed in the documents provided during the current hospitalization. However member can go for reimbursement with all previous insurance and medical records. It can be processed as per merits of the case.”
• thereafter we receive a letter dated 7th november as mentioned above as notice for termination.

My contention at this juncture:
1. Before the issuance of the policy there was a completed medical check up done and at that point had informed your appointed medical practitioner of my entire medical history including the colon ailment of 2011. He had made a note of the same in his records which were to be submitted to you, confidentially. You may refer to the same and verify the statement.
2. Additional 10% premium was already loaded on the policy before the commencement of the policy.
3. As per the policy any pre-existing diseases/conditions are covered after a waiting period of 3 years [36 months]. The first premium was paid on 27/02/2012. The policy document was issued on 28/03/2012 and began coverage from 00:00 hrs of 28th. The claim was submitted in november 2016 – 54 months – well beyond the period.
4. I have a certificate from a senior medical practitioner which clearly states that the kidney disease is not even remotely connected to the colon infection of 2011, what so ever.
5. The ground of cancellation is unjustified and illegal.
Our humble request is to reinstate the policy with immediate effect.
Meanwhile, we are submitting the claim in the requisite format through registered post/courier service.
We request for an early communication and redressal of our grievances.

It does not pay valid claim amount. Will ask for documents not relevant to claim. Will ask for all documents related to disease even though every document is submitted. Exact document is never mentioned and reminder after reminder is sent with a threat to close the claim without paying.

Investigators are sent without information and ID proof and we are expected to provide all information to stranger. Then we are threatened of non cooperation.

सर, पेहले भी आपको तीन वार कंप्लेंट कर चुका हूँ मगर आपकी तरफ़ से भी कोई action नही लिया जा रहा है insorence company कोई respond नही कर रही है और मेरी पॉलिसी भी बिना कोई सूचना के cancel kar दी है जबकि मेरे account से 4800 रूपये भी deduct कर लिये है, वार वार फोन, mail करके document कि requirnment करते थे लेकिन सभी document देने के बाद भी claim देने मैं आना कानी कर रहे है, 5 महीने हो गये है कृपया प्रकरण को जल्द से जल्द solve करवाये नही तो muche मजबूरन कोर्ट jaana पड़ेगा ।

I took a policy with policy id no: [protected] and name: kunti narayana, for my father on date 22 dec 2015 after year again renewal was done on 23 dec 2016. I have paid high premium of rs 15000/- aprox every year.

Then a fine day my dad went for hospitalization on 06 april @ 10.30pm with chest pain and lrti, he got admitted for 01 day at empaneled hospital for basic observations got treated with iv antibiotics + iv fluids + antacids and then got discharged, our total bill was only 23000/-. For this amount they made hell where it was not more than my premium which paid to them, think what will happen if my hospitalization bill will go for 3l.

Apollo munich will give you fake commitments till you do policy, once it is done they wont care about your health that what the reason to reject my cashless.
While the claiming for cashless they started giving reasons to not to give approval and they ruled out that there is a age discrepancy.

Age discrepancy:

1) why don`t you checked age discrepancy at the time of policy?

2) if so why you granted me a policy & renewed my policy for 2nd year too?

It look like these insurance company willfully reject the cashless facility because they only wanted to full their bank balance, i believe that the ratio of this company is very poor it is not more than 38% what they give approvals.

I with my experience i say that do not go for apollo munich health insurance as the brand shows apollo but actually its not worthy to go with this, they leave you when you are in critical situation.

Worst customer care, worst response, worst policy

People who sit at customer care desks are illiterates including superiors desk.+
