I am an Airtel platinum customer with a postpaid connection. I travelled to nigeria and landed on 14th april and the phone was working fine on international roaming. since 18th april the phone ceased to work and it showed sim not registered . i swapped the sim to another phone to and still its not working . since then i have sent numerous emails to airtel and they keep sending cut and copy messages but nothing is done with any honesty.
i has this same issue in 2019 and the airtel assigned a technican and it was said that the sim is location o[censored]AE ( my transit location ) and not nigeria and finally he did something and things came back to normalcy . its been 1 month and this issue is not resolved and in covid times its important that you also have your indian number for emergency to talk to your old father and mother, they cant spend money on calling international numbers.
I had been a airtel customer for 4 + years, never deserted them when Jio was taking all thier customer base … but look what i got … i am in a alien country, my home phone not working and not able to transfer money or do any thing which involves phone and also getting a very poor customer experience . i am posting here so atleast the some high airtel official sees this and helps me, unlike those people who keep sending cut and paste messages
