Airtel — urgent-international pack discrepancy issue

Dear sir,

This is to bring to your notice that i, naval consul have been an airtel customer for the past 13 years now. I am currently holding the prepaid number [protected]. I am a sailor who works abroad most of the days so frequently make use of your international roaming packs. My ships have been recently sailing united states gulf coast region and south america for the past two years now. And i had been frequently making use of your inr 2499 pack which offers 5gb data for 30 days for these past 2 years. My last recharge of inr 2499 was dated 12th january which just got over during current usage in united states on date 6th february 2020. Therefore i made another recharge of 2499 with transid[protected]. Although to my dismay and trying all troubleshooting to resume my data usage, no internet services were available to me. I contacted airtel customer care and they told me this ir pack is not valid for us. Sir, if same was the case then how come i was using it until today? The description in the 2499 pack did not mention united states even earlier but it was working fine for me and all my fellow sailors. Please do me the honours to track my data usage, network providers and past recharges in the past two years. I have been using this pack in us just fine until today via the network carrier at&t 3g. So if there has been some revision to the rates or data availability then the same recharge should not have been available on the my airtel app. I therefore either demand a refund or restarting of my data services as this is an outrage. Earlier airtel was an economical option for me as it provided me access to internet services in all of my voyages such as us, mexico, panama, south america, honduras, guatemala, etc. Now if as per customer service the prices have to be 3997 for united states and adjoining countries then i would prefer to buy a local sim or rather switch to vodafone, for their international packs seem cheaper than yours now.

Please understand that this is our hard earned money and we have to stay a long time away from our families during our service. Hope you of all people as esteemed network service providers can have some consideration or empathy to how important staying connected to their loved ones is. And with my profession staying several thousand miles away from my folks for several months i atleast deserve uninterrupted connectivity to stay hopeful, cheerful and maintain my sanity. Therefore please do the needful to resolve this issue at the earliest so that i do not have to stay disconnected like this from my family due to internet unavailability.
