I bought a Faber GL CT 40 ABC cook top from Dass electronics in Pune on May 09. I went to the store and picked up the merchandise.

Within 2 month the burner were not lighting. So I complained and they came after 2 weeks after several calls to Dass electronics as they were driving this warranty. Dass in turns calls Faber. Faber fixed it.

In September 09 out of 4 burner 3 of them stopped working. So again I complained. after repeated call to Dass electronics and Dass to Faber they came after 3 weeks and said that starter circuit has to be replaced. They said that they don't have parts so it will take 2 days. As usual Faber didn't come after 2 days and I informed Dass. Faber came after 1 week and they replace the circuit. In the process they broke the white stick out parts for one burner. As my wife was at home and she didn't check properly , so Faber technicial took complete advantage. I came back home in the night and found that not only that part is broken but burner is not lighting. So now only 3 are working.

I complained again and they came after 1 week (though they said that they will come in 2 days). This time they said that the broken parts are not part of warranty and I have to pay for it including the service charge. During the conversation they started selling me the chimney.

First of all the product I purchaged by paying Rs 8500 got broke down twice in 4 months. Then during the repair work it broke the parts ( I am sure purposely so that they can earn extra money) and now they are asking money for repair. On top of that they started selling me chimney. This product doesn't have anything other than gas pipe network and small circuit for starter. With this only the product break down so frequenly.

So ITS A REALLY BAD PRODUCT. NO ONE SHOUDL BUY IT.

My life will go on. But I have decided that I am done with Faber. In future I will NOT take (forget buying) a niddle from them. I will go with anyother vendor.
